I believe this is Benson Skaife who married Agnes Carter at Middlesbro in 1881. Linthorpe Cemetery is in Middlesbro, although Benson Skaife belongs to the Braisty Woods family of Nidderdale. He moved to the North East and, together with his younger brother, Robert, they settled and developed the Middlesbro branch.
